We had a new arrival of shuin book bags!
Traditionally in Japan when you studied at a temple you received written proof of your studies, called shuin (it’s like a shrine stamp written in calligraphy). Nowadays you can receive shuin just by going to pray at a shrine or temple, and collecting shuin in a special shuin book is a popular activity in Kyoto!
However the special books for these shuin are spineless and pages are folded in an accordion-like manner, so the easiest way to store these books are in a special shuin book bag!
Of course you can use these bags as a pouch for many other things!
